Christian Scott is a cybersecurity executive and technologist with over 20 years of hands-on experience building cybersecurity programs and providing cyber advisory services to some of the world’s most regulated and risk-sensitive institutions. Over his career, he has helped deliver thousands of cybersecurity engagements and services across a number of international banks, global insurance companies, asset managers, and options exchanges.

Mr. Scott currently serves as CEO of Tantalum Labs, a boutique cybersecurity firm specializing in advanced cyber adversary emulation, active defense and threat modeling services that help organizations mitigate complex cyber threats and defend against sophisticated malicious actors.

Prior to founding Tantalum Labs, Mr. Scott was Managing Director of Cybersecurity at Abacus Group, where he led the firm’s red and blue team practices, overseeing cybersecurity operations across the US and UK. He played a key role in shaping the go-to-market strategy, driving new product development, and managing global cybersecurity service delivery.

Previously, Mr. Scott served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Gotham Security and GoVanguard, where he architected the firm’s full suite of cybersecurity services and spearheaded the successful acquisition of Gotham Security. He played a critical leadership role in building elite ethical hacking teams, scaling service offerings, and developing one of the industry’s most robust penetration testing-as-a-service (PTaaS) platforms.

An autodidact and passionate educator, Mr. Scott is the founder of several nonprofit cybersecurity and leadership education initiatives, including Cyber Judo. He has contributed to open-source cybersecurity tooling and regularly authors technical resources, whitepapers, and policy guidance for both the public and private sectors.

Today, Mr. Scott advises on cybersecurity matters to help protect enterprise value, and build scalable, operational cybersecurity programs across the Star Mountain Capital portfolio.
