Brett Hickey to Speak at the Southern Capital Forum’s 2016 Annual Conference

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, USA, September 12, 2016 / Hickey, CEO of Star Mountain Capital, LLC a specialized alternative asset manager focused exclusively on the U.S. lower middle market, will speak as a panel participant at this year’s Southern Capital Forum held at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia from September 14-16, 2016.

Brett Hickey will be part of the panel “Investing Debt at the Top of the Market” where he will be joined by Scott Bushmann of Kian Capital Partners, Ned Hill of Square 1 Bank, Mishone Donelson of Fairview Partners, Ken Hockstein of Voya Financial, and JT King of Nonami Enterprises.

Mr. Hickey is very involved and passionate about philanthropy and positive community impact. He is the Founder of the Star Mountain Charitable Foundation, through which he has received multiple recognitions for his efforts including the Pathfinders to Peace Award alongside Morgan Freeman. Board memberships include the Quebec City Conference (members represent approximately $4 trillion of leading institutional investors); Board of Governors for the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA); Member and former Chairman of Networks for the NYC Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO); Board of Harvard University Entrepreneurs Alumni Association of NY; and Board of McGill University Alumni Association of NY (recipient of the President of the Year Award).

Mr. Hickey received a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from McGill University (Finance Major and Accounting Concentration) and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program (three year full HBS alumni status executive program for business owners). He is a frequent guest lecturer on industry panels and at academic institutions. Mr. Hickey is also a former Canadian national gold medalist and North American medalist in speed skating.
