Jeff Feinberg is a Managing Director and Strategic Portfolio Partner, assisting with due-diligence, value creation, talent, and portfolio management at Star Mountain Capital.

Mr. Feinberg has over 30 years of portfolio management, investment, consulting and C-level operating experience with a specialization in company enterprise value optimization with both growth and turnaround situations.

He has been a consultant, held interim senior leadership positions (CEO/COO/CFO), and has served multiple private equity firms as a trusted advisor and operating partner, often in a global capacity.

Mr. Feinberg’s leadership experience includes over 16 years helping build and manage one of the leading portfolio optimization and restructuring businesses, Alvarez & Marsal (“A&M”). At A&M he was a Partner, Managing Director and Co-Practice Leader within the Private Equity Performance Improvement Group where he served in numerous C-Suite interim positions including CEO, President, COO, and CFO on behalf of dozens of companies, many of which were owned by leading private equity firms. At A&M, he served a diverse range of clients across the U.S. and Europe, as an interim leader and advisor. His industry experience includes light and heavy industrial manufacturing, consumer products, services, fitness, and travel/leisure. During his tenure at A&M, Jeff was also seconded to Angelo Gordon for two years as an Operating Partner, overseeing their in-house resources team. At Angelo Gordon, he assisted with portfolio monitoring, investment evaluation, portfolio-company C-Suite recruitment, CEO Coaching, leadership assimilation, as well as strategic planning.

In addition to his time working for Angelo Gordon at A&M, he also helped manage portfolio companies for other private equity firms including InvestIndustrial Advisors, a $12bn+ leading European investment group, where he was a Senior Operating Partner, responsible for all US Portfolio companies, US-based add-on’s to European-based portfolio companies, as well as global Real Estate activities. Sectors included: Specialty Chemicals and Industrial Resins, Business Services, Industrial Manufacturing, Large-scale Leisure-product Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, as well as Consumer Wholesale and Retail. In his capacity as a Senior Operating Partner, he sat on 5 Boards, is involved with due diligence, 100-Day Planning, thesis execution, value creation plan development, and C-Suite talent management.

Mr. Feinberg extensive experience includes being the Chief Transformation Officer of Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund, reporting to the Co-CEO’s. At Bridgewater, he served on the Leadership and Operating Committees, oversaw strategic planning, budgeting, and company-wide procurement – where he stood-up a Center-led procurement process across the entire organization. His penultimate accomplishment was transitioning the business to outsource/nearshoring its enablement functions.

Earlier in his career, Jeff was a Vice President with Solomon Equities, a NY Real Estate Developer, he led the Special Situations Team at Powell Equities, and was the COO & CFO of Mannor Corporation, formerly, the largest privately held, trouser manufacturer in the U.S.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a dual major in English from Lehigh University.
